Man on parole for aggravated assault now faces new charge in separate case

FARGO, ND (Valley News Live) – A West Fargo man convicted of aggravated assault for attacking someone in downtown Fargo in early 2024 now faces another charge in a separate case. Additionally, an arrest warrant was issued for him for firearms offences.

Jeremy Dalton, 34, a former bouncer at Old Broadway in downtown Fargo, was found guilty. Aggravated assault case from 2023after video of him punching another man in the face went viral. Dalton was sentenced to 180 days in jail and two years of supervised release.

Newly filed court documents say Dalton is now facing a separate domestic violence charge. Documents filed on Oct. 3 state that Dalton grabbed a woman by the throat during an argument at a West Fargo home. The woman told police she couldn’t breathe. Police noted that they saw red marks on the woman’s neck. Court records say the person who called 911 was a child in the home. Dalton told officers nothing physical happened between him and the woman. Dalton’s next hearing on the domestic violence charge is scheduled for Nov. 13.

Criminal Case Records in the state of North Dakota also show that on Oct. 30, a warrant was issued for Dalton’s arrest on charges of unlawful possession of a firearm.
