Kusha Kapila blocked Samay Raina on social media after being roasted in an ‘inhumane and rude’ manner

Comedian Samay Raina recently revealed that social media star Kusha Kapila blocked him on Instagram. His statement came after the comedian joked about Kusha Kapila’s divorce from Zorawar Ahluwalia. Kapila called Raina’s jokes “dehumanizing”.

“Hahahaha honestly this would be an epic episode for sure. Raina wrote: I can’t tag him because I’m blocked but hopefully it will happen sometime in the future. instagram.

Raina’s Instagram story made its way to Reddit, where users reacted hilariously to the incident.

“Samay always says something about: to the bird One user said he should never have said that.

Another user blamed Ashish Solanki, the organizer of the show.

“I think this is largely Ashish’s fault, if he had cut that much none of this would have happened (at least publicly),” the user wrote.

Samay Raina appeared in the series called Pretty Good Roast Show season 1, in which a group of comedians, including Kapila, roasted each other. This show was hosted by Ashish Solanki. In one of the episodes, Raina made many reviews about Kusha Kapila’s marriage which ended in divorce.

Raina went as far as calling him a ‘gold digger’. She also talked about Kapila’s dog, which she shares with her ex-husband. “Kusha has a female dog and half the time he is with Kusha and the other half he is happy. Give the dog to Zorawar. Let him have at least one bitch in his life,” Raina said in Hindi.

Kusha shared her disappointment with the roast and said: “When someone tries to disempower you, that’s their trash. It’s not yours to keep. Let it slip away from you.”

“I had no idea what was in store for me. Maybe I should have asked for a script and should have known better, but I didn’t because my friends were involved. Rookie mistake,” he said.

“While I endured some truly offensive jokes in front of live audiences and technicians, it was totally inappropriate for me to perform for millions of people as some of the jokes directly dehumanized me. It was shockingly rude,” Kapila said.

“Mine was the first episode to be shot (it was filmed in January) so everyone knew a lot after shooting, so boundaries were not crossed on other episodes, especially regarding the women,” he added.

Kusha Kappila married Zorawar Ahluwalia in 2017. The couple announced their divorce in 2023.
