Vice President Kamala Harris will visit the Harrisburg area on Wednesday, October 30, for a get-out-the-vote rally.

The event was announced through Team Harris/Walz and the Pennsylvania Democrats. websiteHe said the vice president will make his first appearance at the Farm Show Complex. Doors for the event will open at 12:30, and those who RSVP must arrive by 15:30 at the latest.

The event will be held at the Giant Fair Hall. There is limited parking at the facility, which can be accessed from the north gate off HACC Drive, officials said.

All guests will pass through an airport-like screening checkpoint operated by the United States Secret Service before entering the event venue. Officials said small bags are allowed, but entry may be expedited for those without bags. The following items are prohibited and will be confiscated prior to entry:

  • There is no bag bigger than a clutch.
  • There is no amount of liquid, aerosol or gel. Medical products are exempt.
  • No reusable water bottles (full or empty). Disposable water, gatorade or similar bottles are permitted which can be disposed of prior to entry.
  • There are no posters or signs of any size outside.
  • There are no umbrellas of all sizes.
  • No vape pen or lighter.
  • Knives, firearms, guns or other dangerous objects are prohibited.
  • Lawn chairs, non-service animals, bicycles, balloons, drones, laser pointers, packs, selfie sticks, structures, toy guns or recreational mobility devices are prohibited.
  • Any other substance deemed dangerous by the United States Secret Service.

Former President Donald Trump and vice president J.D. Vance made several stops in Pennsylvania throughout the year to rally support; These include Philadelphia, Butler, York and Harrisburg.

Harris was previously scheduled to campaign in Central Pennsylvania earlier this month but had to cancel due to the impact of Hurricane Helene. Fellow candidate Tim Walz held events on October 2. OrtasehirReading and York. Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff was in Harrisburg over the weekend.
