HANOVER TWP, Mich. (WILX) – A man was killed when the car he was driving left the road and crashed into a tree near Hanover Twp. Wednesday morning.

The incident happened just before 8:30 a.m. on Hatch Rd near Reynolds Rd in Hanover Twp.

Jackson County Authorities say 51-year-old Stacy Rainey was traveling westbound on Hatch Rd when the crash occurred. There was no one else in the car, but investigators told News 10 they believe he was speeding.
