Netflix’s new true crime documentary shows man who caught his wife’s abuse via ‘harrowing’ nanny cam footage – Netflix

A new true crime documentary has been added netflix This week, fans are moved to tears over one man’s harrowing abuse.

Spencer was abused by his wife, Sheree Spencer, for over a decade.

When police responded to the incident, Richard Spencer provided 43 injury photographs, 36 video clips and nine mobile recordings.

Several video clips of the events were captured via a ‘nanny cam’ which helped capture evidence of his abusive behaviour.

She regularly attacked her husband and was even seen threatening him with a knife in a video recorded by the nanny’s cameras.

He threw the knife at her, leaving a 2cm cut below her knee.

In the documentary, the abused husband and father says: “Sheree’s abuse of me evolved and escalated over time; He repeatedly used physical attacks, threats, verbal abuse, and humiliation to punish me and establish control over me.

“The abuse was hidden from the outside world, including friends and family.

“Sheree convinced me that I was a responsible and willing participant in the abuse.

“He declared without remorse that I deserved to be punished and that this was a just consequence of me having disappointed him in some way.”

The documentary about his story, which was recently added to Netflix and went straight to number one on the streaming charts, was a harrowing watch for viewers.

To talk Commenting on the documentary, MailOnline, Richard Spencer said: “Sheree tried but failed to stop the documentary being broadcast at the crown court.”

After he was jailed, he said: “I have resigned myself to the fact that I will never fully recover from his abuse and that it will have a lasting, damaging impact on my life and the lives of my family.”
