The Hamptons police came to find a woman died Monday under suspicious circumstances in a guest room at Shou Sugi Ban House, a Japan-inspired wellness retreat in Water Mill.

A staff member first made the discovery in one of 13 villas spread across the secluded property about 150 kilometers from New York City.

Pending the results of the autopsy, the victim’s name and cause of death were not immediately available.
