Wayne County Sheriff: Woman hospitalized after two-car crash in Walworth

A woman was hospitalized after a two-car crash in Walworth Township Saturday evening, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to the crash at the intersection of Canandaigua Road and State Route 441 around 7:06 p.m. Investigators determined that 28-year-old Austin Zsedely of Webster was traveling southbound on Canandaigua Road and stopped at a sign before attempting to turn left. Return to State Route 441. While making a turn, Zsedely failed to yield to an eastbound vehicle driven by Pamela Schwartz, 64, of Fairport, resulting in a collision.

Schwartz was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital by Western Wayne Ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries. Zsedely and his passenger escaped uninjured in the accident. Deputies issued multiple traffic tickets after determining Zsedely was at fault.

The incident was supported by Western Wayne Ambulance, West Walworth Fire Department and Macedonia Police Department.
