Himanta Biswa Sarma Accuses Hemant Soren of Supporting Illegal Immigrants

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday (October 28) claimed that the Muslim population is increasing in Jharkhand due to illegal immigrants infiltrating India.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which is in charge of the Jharkhand assembly elections, said, “I am lighting fire against infiltrators. Lord Hanuman had also set fire to Lanka. We must open fire against infiltrators and make Jharkhand a golden land.” he said.

Sarma claimed that Aadhar cards were given to spies through madrassas in Jharkhand, while the tribal population in Santhal Pargana decreased while the Muslim population increased.

“Not every Muslim is a spy, but how come the population of Muslims increases every 5 years? Does a family give birth to 10-12 children? If families do not give birth to that many children, people from outside are definitely coming.” he added.

Terming it ‘simple mathematics’, Sarma accused Chief Minister Hemant Soren of supporting infiltrators and said: “We will win the elections but that is not the main priority, it is to expel infiltrators from Santhal Pargana and justice for women.”

While the Assam CM said this, slogans of “Intelligencers will be punished according to law” “Jai Shri Ram” echoed. He also promised to implement National Register of Citizens (NRC) in Santhal Pargana to eliminate infiltrators.

Anti-infiltration is the step adopted by the BJP for the two-phase Jharkhand assembly elections in which it aims to capture power from the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) and Congress alliance.
