Jaguars WR Christian Kirk leaves season with loss to Packers with broken collarbone (Video)

Christian Kirk’s season is over.

Jacksonville’s wide receiver suffered a broken collarbone. according to multiple media reportsinside Jaguars lost 30-27 to Green Bay Packers on Sunday afternoon. This will knock him out for the rest of the season.

Kirk was tackled while trying to catch Trevor Lawrence’s deep pass down the middle of the field in the fourth quarter of Jacksonville’s loss to the Packers at Everbank Stadium. Kirk barely missed the catch, landing directly on his left side as he fell to the ground.

Kirk immediately reached for his shoulder in great pain, and the Jaguars quickly ruled him out for the remainder of the game. It was in a hanger when leaving the stadium.

Kirk had two catches for 59 yards when he left the game on Sunday. He would finish the season with 379 yards and 27 catches.

Kirk is in his third season with the Jaguars. The 27-year-old player is in the third year of a 4-year, $72 million deal with the team. He has also been the subject of trade rumors in recent weeks, but his injury will likely be over before the deadline next month.

Trevor Lawrence completed 21 of 32 passes for 208 yards and two touchdowns and an interception in the Jaguars’ loss, which dropped them to 2-6 on the season. They tied the game just inside the two-minute warning after Lawrence hit Evan Engram for a 14-yard score, but the Packers mounted a game-winning drive capped by a 24-yard field goal by Brandon McManus.

The Jaguars will face the Philadelphia Eagles next week in Pennsylvania.
