Suspect in fatal stabbing in Hollywood released

Police are searching for at least one suspect in a fatal stabbing in Hollywood on Sunday night, authorities confirmed to KTLA.

Officers with the Los Angeles Police Department responded to the 7100 block of Hawthorn Boulevard, near the intersection of La Brea Street, on reports that a victim had been stabbed with a knife around 4 p.m.

According to police, the crime broadcast began around 5 p.m.

Details are extremely limited and the investigation into the fatal incident is ongoing, but authorities said the suspect, who remains a suspect, was described as a male of Hispanic descent, approximately 6 feet tall and weighing 200 pounds.

Footage of the scene posted on the Citizen App shows police and firefighters talking to a man sitting on the sidewalk.

It is not yet known whether this person was the stabbing victim or whether he was hospitalized.

Authorities did not provide any details about the age, gender or identity of the person killed.
