Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher praised Cole Palmer following the Chelsea striker’s outstanding long-range pass in their 2-1 win against Newcastle United on Sunday.

Chelsea were the better side when the two sides met at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

Palmer launched a 60-yard pass into the path of Pedro Neto, who then headed Nicolas Jackson for the Blues’ first goal with a low cross.

Carragher told Sky Sports: “That pass over 60 meters… I mean it’s one of the best passes I’ve seen in the Premier League, let alone this season.

“Taking two or three Newcastle players and putting Neto and Jackson in the right place.”

Newcastle equalized through Alexander Isak in the 32nd minute before halftime.

Palmer then scored in the 47th minute to help Chelsea take all three points.
