WINTER PARK, Fla. (WKRC) – A woman who trapped her boyfriend inside a zippered suitcase during an apparently drunken game of hide-and-seek has learned his fate.

Boone’s attorney attempted to file a lawsuit on Boone’s behalf as a domestic violence victim suffering from battered spouse syndrome, according to the station.

Prosecutors denied the claim, showing cellphone video recorded by Boone that showed the victim inside the bag. The victim can also be heard in the video saying he couldn’t breathe.

Boone then began recording the conversation with Torres, who continued to beg him to let her out of the bag, and when Torres was able to get one of her hands out of the bag, Boone hit her, according to the release.
