Man arrested in connection with early morning shooting in Georgetown Co.

GEORGETOWN COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) – The Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office has made an arrest in connection with a deadly shooting in Andrews.

Deputies said they detained 24-year-old Hezekiah Wilson of Andrews for questioning following a shooting that left one person dead early Sunday morning.

He was booked into the Georgetown County Detention Center and charges against him are still pending. No official booking photos are available at this time.

Around 1 a.m., deputies found a man with a gunshot wound at Shaw’s Corner Store on Martin Luther King Drive. The man was pronounced dead at a hospital shortly after 2 a.m.

This incident is still under investigation.
