Police say 5-year-old boy dies days after being shot in drive-by

CINCINNATI (WXIX/Gray News) – A 5-year-old boy was killed in a drive-by shooting in Cincinnati earlier this week.

The child, identified as 5-year-old Artagist Stanford III, died Saturday, according to the Cincinnati Police Department.

He was taken to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital after being injured in the shooting on Thursday. But he didn’t survive.

The shooting happened around 5 a.m. on Holland Drive near Vivian Place in Winton Hills.

Police radio traffic indicated three to four shots were fired into the home.

Cincinnati Police Chief Teresa Theetge said there were no suspects and they did not know the reason behind the attack, but the investigation was continuing.

Artagist attended Winton Hills Academy, according to Cincinnati Public Schools.
