He gifted his iconic “22” hat to another lucky fan, a precious moment he shares at every stop on his tour. The recipient, a young fan in tears, accepted the hat as the crowd cheered. This is definitely a memory that will last a lifetime.

Swift chooses a lucky fan to give the hat to during her song “22″” and signs it with a metallic pen. Sometimes choices are made randomly; in other cases, they’re chosen by Swift’s team because they’re viral, show off their fandom, or have inspiring stories.

At Friday night’s show, the superstar expressed his love for the city during the concert, telling the crowd: “We got to end (the Eras Tour) in the most fun cities with the most passionate fans.”

The crowd proved her right, traveling from the Gulf South and beyond, singing along to every lyric, screaming with joy, and showing off custom-made outfits inspired by different periods of Swift’s career.

The local economy is seeing a boost as hotels in multiple neighborhoods reach capacity and restaurants, bars and boutiques benefit from the influx of visitors.

Locals were surprised to see how long lines formed at the iconic Cafe Du Monde in the French Quarter, or how large crowds lined up to buy items.

“Taylor Swift really is that girl,” one user posted on X.

As the sun sets over the Mississippi River on Saturday night, the Superdome will once again come alive with the sounds of Swift’s playlist. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. as special guest Gracie Abrams takes the stage and Swift dazzles with a nearly three-hour performance that spans her entire career, from “Fearless” to “Department of Tortured Poets.”

Expect traffic to be heavy and lines to be long when the Swifties arrive.

Fans should arrive early to enjoy the atmosphere around the Superdome and Champions Square, where merchandise stands and photo ops with a giant friendship bracelet await.

For many, Saturday marks the culmination of months of planning, saving and dreaming for the chance to see Swift live.

From the French Quarter to the Marigny and beyond, the city is painted red (and the color of every other era) and the energy in New Orleans is palpable.

With one night left and two more to go, the Eras Tour is shaping up to be a weekend the city and the Swifties won’t soon forget.

As Swift herself says, there’s no better place to wrap up the US leg of her tour than in a city known for its passion, music and never-ending love.
