OnePlus has introduced OxygenOS 15, the latest version of its custom Android operating system that promises a faster and smoother experience with a host of new features and a minimalist design. OxygenOS 15: All new features

According to the company, OxygenOS 15 brings a host of new features designed to make OnePlus devices faster, smarter and more secure. The Parallel Processing feature allows seamless switching between up to 20 apps without lag, and the system now uses 20 percent less storage than OxygenOS 14, making room for more photos and apps.

Artificial Intelligence features are at the forefront, with tools like AI Detail Boost and AI Unblur improving image clarity and resolution at the touch of a button, while AI Reflection Eraser eliminates unwanted reflections in photos. Smart Search helps users find files or settings through conversational responses, and Circle to Search allows object identification by circling items in photos or videos, connecting users to Google search results. The new Pass Scan feature for travelers scans boarding passes directly from the camera.

Other AI-powered tools include AI Notes, which transcribes voice notes and edits them with ease, and AI Reply, which saves time in conversations by suggesting contextual replies in messaging apps.

The integration of Google Gemini Live in OxygenOS 15 further enhances the user experience by providing real-time responses in more than 40 languages. This assistant allows users to ask questions, brainstorm, or simplify tasks simply by speaking.

Design updates in OxygenOS 15 include a new boot animation, new icons, and improved lock screen customizations and added personalization. Additionally, OnePlus has strengthened security with features like Remote Lock and Offline Lock, which protect against theft by automatically locking the device and requiring biometric verification for sensitive actions.

OxygenOS 15: Release date and eligible devices

OnePlus has confirmed that the first open beta of OxygenOS 15 will be released from October 30 and OnePlus 12 will be the first model to receive the update. Although the brand has not yet announced the full list of eligible devices, leaked information shows that the following models will most likely receive the new operating system:
