Vegas Golden Knights to Start Season

Vegas Golden Knights once again off to a hot start and currently sitting at the top pacific division At 5-2-1. Now they are about to get one of their best players back into the squad.

Head coach Bruce Cassidy announced that star forward William Karlsson will make his first game of the season against his opponent on Saturday night. San Jose Sharks. The 31-year-old Swedish player missed the first eight games of the season due to an undisclosed injury.

One of the few remaining “Golden Misfits” from the team’s first season, Karlsson became a star during his time in Vegas. He produced 152 goals, 215 assists and 367 points in 502 matches, and also made a great contribution to the defense. He ranks second in club history in terms of goals and points, and third in assists and games played.

Last season, Karlsson scored 60 points with 30 goals and 30 assists in 70 games; it was his most points since he shot a career-best 78 in 2017–18, the Knights’ first season. He added two assists in seven playoff games.

Cassidy didn’t say exactly where Karlsson would fit on the roster, but he’ll likely be in the middle six with some action on special teams.

Additionally, defenseman Nic Hague is day-to-day after suffering a lower-body injury in Friday’s 6-4 victory over the Ottawa Senators. Kaedan Korzcak, who scored 9 points and 8 goals in 26 games last season, will take Lahey’s place in the squad.

The Knights will face the Sharks at T-Mobile Arena at 10 p.m.
