    Russell Colliere The visiting Warriors beat North Hagerstown 28-27 in overtime, increasing the score to 7-1, and scored Boonsboro’s last two goals.

    “Russell is a great player,” Boonsboro coach Mark Wadel said. “He plays with an angry attitude and that’s why we like to give him the ball.”

    Colliere’s 5-yard touchdown run with 2:13 left in regulation brought the score to 21. In overtime, the Warriors took the first possession and Colliere scored from the 5th point following Owen Hardy’s extra point kick to put them ahead 28-21.

    The Hubs (3-5) made it 28-27 on James Jackson’s 2-yard TD run. However, the extra point attempt failed and the Warriors began celebrating.

    “We knew it was going to be tough coming in,” Wadel said. “The kids work so hard and we coach them so hard. They found a way. The kids battled. I’m so proud of them.”

    The game was tied at 7 at the end of the first quarter after Boonsboro quarterback Colin Telemeco scored on a 9-yard keeper and North’s Logan Hoffman threw a 30-yard TD pass to Khalil Peggues.

    Parker DeBaugh’s 31-yard TD run gave the Warriors a 14-7 halftime lead.

    The Hubs tied the score in the third quarter on Amauri Murray’s 2-yard TD run and took their first lead of the night, 21-14, on a 16-yard TD pass from Hoffman to Peggues with 5:32 left in the fourth quarter. .

    Jackson and Michael Stewart made tackles for North, while Matthew McAfee and Logan Atkinson also made passes for Boonsboro.

    Francis Scott Key 28, South Hagerstown 12

    Clear Spring 36, South Huntingdon 24

    Hayden Hodge rushed for four touchdowns and kicked a 41-yard field goal to lead the visiting Blazers (5-3) to a loss to the Rockets (1-9).

    Alex Matthews added a TD run for Clear Spring.

    Two of Southern Huntingdon’s TDs came against Clear Spring’s JV players.

    Fort Hill 61, Smithsburg 6

    Jabril Daniels scored three goals as Sentinels (6-2) defeated Leopards (0-8).

    Carson Bender, Tristan Ross and Braelyn Younger each scored a TD run for Fort Hill, which returned two punts for scores. The Sentinels are three-time Class 1A state champions.

    Potomac 33, St. James 16

    Sammy Stonebraker ran for two touchdowns and Jorge Diaz Nicolas hit a field goal for the visiting Saints (5-4), who lost to the Panthers (5-3).

    Hancock 2, Brownsville 0

    The Panthers defeated the Falcons (0-8), who did not have enough players for the match, and improved the score to 3-5.

    Thursday’s match

    Williamsport 47, Ridge 27

    Gabe Parker threw four touchdown passes, three to Ceonta Wilmore, and Masiah Martin caught a TD and a pick-six as the Wildcats (5-3) defeated the Miners (4-4) at home.

    Taemyj Boyce-Brown scored on a 1-yard run and Parker threw a 14-yard pass to Wilmore to give Williamsport a 13-3 lead in the first quarter. Wilmore had 105 of his 182 receiving yards by halftime.

    Martin’s 59-yard pick six increased the Wildcats’ lead to 19-3, then Mountain Ridge scored on a 5-yard TD pass from Carter Clites to Eli Sibley and a Sibley conversion run to make it 19-11 at halftime.

    Parker found Wilmore again for a 34-yard TD pass in the third quarter, and Boyce-Brown’s conversion gave Williamsport a 27-11 lead. The Miners answered with a 9-yard touchdown pass from Clites to Kyree Griffin and a conversion pass from Clites to Sibley to make the score 27-19.

    Wilmore then took a pass from Parker, broke the tackle and went 44 yards for his third TD of the game, giving the Wildcats a 34-19 lead entering the fourth quarter.

    Clites ran for a 16-yard score and threw a conversion pass to Cobe Penick to give Mountain Ridge a 34-27 lead in the first minute of the final period.

    Less than a minute later, Parker’s fourth TD pass went 40 yards to Martin, giving Williamsport a 41-27 lead. Landen McAllister added a pick six from 43 yards for the final points.
