Is Josh Jacobs Playing Today? (Injury Update, Prop Betting Impact for Lions vs. Packe

Green Bay Packers forward Josh Jacobs, who was listed as questionable for Week 9 against the Detroit Lions with an ankle injury, is expected to play Sunday, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

This is great news for the Packers as quarterback Jordan Love (groin) is already out with a knock and will look to recover from the injury in this crucial NFC North matchup.

Jacobs was a key part of the Green Bay offense in his first season with the franchise and could take on an even bigger role this week if Love can’t be his usual self against the Lions.

Odds via DraftKings Sportsbook.

In a game that could change due to rain, Jacobs is a great bet to lead the field for Green Bay.

With Love dealing with a groin injury, the Packers may want to put more emphasis on their play on the field, something I’ve been unsuccessful at. Our all-time top kicker picks for Packers-Lions earlier this week:

Packers running back Josh Jacobs is having arguably his best game of the season in Week 8, rushing for 127 yards and two scores.

If Malik Willis starts, Jacobs will have a huge workload (he had 32 carries in Week 2). If Love leaves (and we now know he will), Jacobs still has an advantageous matchup against a Lions team that allows 4.7 yards per carry.

This isn’t the best price for Jacobs to score at, but he’s coming off a two-score game and should get about 20 more touches in Week 9. My favorite Packer to find the end zone with Love still less than 100 percent. .
