Truck crashed into building after breaks ended in Sylvester

SYLVESTER, Ga. (WALB) – Police are investigating after a truck crashed into a building on Main Street in Sylvester Saturday afternoon.

According to Sylvester Police Chief Ronald Jackson, a truck was attempting to turn US-82 onto Main Street. While trying to turn, the driver realized he could not stop.

The driver then turned off the engine and allowed the vehicle to enter an alley and then crash into a building. Chief Jackson told WALB that the standoff was interrupted at the time of the crash.

Chief Jackson said no one was injured in the incident.

No fee is requested from the truck driver.
