The Big Death in Agatha All Along Episode 7 Isn’t As Tragic as It Looks

While some speculate that the Tower’s reversal may have been related to Wanda’s death on Wundagore Mountain, this led to Lilia saving her friends but sacrificing herself. Salem Seven…or so it seems. Many viewers on Reddit noticed that we didn’t see Lilia’s body, and while some argued that her being slammed into a floor full of swords would be too graphic for an MCU series, others are reading into this further. In particular, the fact that this episode is Lilia’s trial and the tarot chart reads “Your Way Winds Out of Time” is very symbolic of her character.

Episode 7 revealed how Lilia’s previous lines like “Alice, don’t” and “Try to save Agatha” fit together perfectly, but she had added a new line to it. Lilia’s wise parting words to Agatha say: “He’s a coward when he calls you, knock on deck. Probably ‘he’ is Rio, and as the finale approaches, a fight between the former lovers seems inevitable. Unless Lilia somehow sees the fight happening, Agatha’ How could she have known about Agatha’s need to bend? Lilia’s episode ended with memories of Rio learning that she was Death in the tunnels beneath the Witches’ Alley, which is typical of Rio using Lilia to get to Agatha. It brings to mind the “this is not your time” twist.

The same episode implies that in this magical branch of the MCU, death is not what it seems; The others understand Billy and ask Agatha: Wanda Maximoff is really dead. “Yeah, no, maybe,” said a typically cryptic Agatha, teasing that Elizabeth Olsen might be back in action soon. Agatha confirms that she saw a body, but makes it clear that she is unsure whether the W. Maximoff corpse from episode 1 is really Wanda or part of her spell. We know that Rio is there to collect the “corpses” of those who died on Witches Lane, but we don’t know what will happen to them afterward. Who’s to say there’s a dead body when it comes to Lilia? Looking at an interview between Winding And Agatha showrunner Jac Schaeffer confirmed that Sharon Davis (Debra Jo Rupp) is definitely dead, as we see her body.

Even though Lilia died in the traditional sense, she seems to have had some sort of happy ending. Episode 7 ends with Lilia meeting her long-dead Maestra (Laura Boccaletti). What this means is that although her trial on Witch Lane is her death, it is not a fixed point in time. This also explains why the Maestra is so willing to accept death if she knows it’s not the final end. we saw Doctor Who You can achieve this with Alex Kingston’s River Song. The “timelessly slapstick” nature of the series made him a regular, as it was the first time audiences saw him die and the Doctor met him. Someone responding to the Lilia theory Redditor He suggested: “It explains that the flow of time is an illusion. After his death, we see him return to his childhood. Does his consciousness technically bounce around infinitely to some extent?”

Although fans were hoping for more from LuPone, Lilia giving each of her partners one last weapon adds to the sense that Lilia’s journey is coming to an end. Along with the “Duck” comment, she gives Billy back the spell book and reminds Jen that she is the High Priestess. All of this will likely take on new meaning in the finale, which suggests that Lilia will live on in all of them even if she dies. If Lilia is gone, at least she comes out on her own terms and says, “I loved being a witch.” While we’re not yet ready to say goodbye to LuPone’s brief time in the MCU, there’s a small chance we haven’t seen the last of Lilia Calderu yet.
