BISHOPVILLE, S.C. (WIS) – One person was taken to the hospital following a shooting in the Bishopville area.

According to Bishopville Police, the department received multiple 911 calls Wednesday afternoon reporting multiple gunshots heard in the area of ​​W. Cedar Lane.

Police responded but received another call a few minutes later for the shooting victim on Munnerlyn Street.

When they responded, police said the victim was taken by helicopter to Palmetto Richland Hospital.

The shooting is being investigated by the Bishopville Police Department.
