FRANKLIN PARISH, La. (KNOE) – Louisiana State Police say a Winnsboro man died following a crash Sunday.

Troopers say the single-vehicle crash occurred Oct. 27 on Louisiana Highway 562 near the Drane Loop and killed 50-year-old Kevin Crain. LSP said the initial investigation determined that the 1999 Infinity QX4 Crain was driving had left the roadway and struck a tree. Crain, who was not restrained, was pronounced dead at the scene, troopers said. LSP is investigating what may have caused the crash.

Cops are warning all drivers to never get behind the wheel while impaired, tired or distracted. LSP says drivers must obey all traffic laws and ensure everyone traveling in the vehicle is properly restrained.
