A body was found in the investigation launched into the disappearance of a 49-year-old woman who disappeared six days ago.

Joanne Jones was last seen at Vale Gardens, Pontypridd, Rhondda Cynon Taf at 09.45am on Monday. Search by police and wider community.

South Wales Police confirmed on Saturday night that a body had been found but formal identification was yet to take place. Ms Jones’ family and the coroner have been notified.

“We would like to thank the local community for all their help,” police said.
