Authorities confirmed that a minibus crashed into the gas meter, causing a fire in the house.

The driver of the minibus was identified but fled the scene. Harford County police are trying to find the driver.

A fire Wednesday night caused extensive damage to a home in Bel Air, according to the Harford County Fire Department.

Authorities stated that the source of the fire was a natural gas line.

According to photos taken at the scene by the Joppa Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company, the house appears to be a shell unto itself.

As the fire grew, neighbors evacuated their homes. No injuries were reported.

The Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company and volunteer firefighters from surrounding companies are on scene.

Authorities reported that the fire was under control.
