Jason Kelce visibly stunned by Travis’ question about Saquon Barkley after crazy stats

Saquon Barkley does things even the Kelce brothers wouldn’t believe.

In the new episode of Kelce brother’s hit podcast, New PeaksTravis asked Jason if Barkley already belonged on the Philadelphia Eagle’s Mount Rushmore.

This question surprised his older brother Kelce.

While that may seem like an overreaction to a question, considering Barkley has only been an Eagle for eight games, the younger Kelce has a point.

Barkley’s 443 yards in the last three games were the most in three games for an Eagles player in franchise history.

This prompted Travis’ question.

“Saquon is already the Eagles’ Mount Rushmore of running back, only eight games into the season?”

Jason had to think for a moment, looking like a man deep in thought.

“I’m trying to think about who’s out there right now,” the former Eagle said.

“Brian Westbrook, LeSean McCoy…I think you probably put Steve Van Buren, I think it was a running back.

“You know, listen, he was playing in a different era, but-“

Travis interrupted Jason and told him, “You said yes before you even said yes.”

Westbrook, McCoy, Van Buren and now Barkley are all in Philadelphia’s Mount Rushmore runs.

At least according to Jason Kelce.

To further reinforce the point that Barkley is already among the franchise’s best, take a look at what he’s done not just in the three-game stretch, but in the first eight games overall.

Barkley became the third Eagle to reach 1,000 yards from scrimmage (925 rushing, 146 receiving) in eight games.

McCoy did it twice in 2011 and 2013, and Westbrook did it once in 2007.

It’s impossible to say what Barkley’s ceiling is because he’s getting better each week and seems more comfortable in Philadelphia’s system.

The Eagles are 6-2 and appear to have made progress behind Barkley and his quarterback in recent weeks jalen hurtsalong with a much more advanced defence.

If Barkley keeps up his game and continues to overcome obstacles, he will remain in the hearts of Eagles fans forever.
