A boy appeared at Hull Crown Court charged with attempted murder and possession of a knife after a 13-year-old girl was found stabbed.

The girl was found with serious injuries to her neck, abdomen, chest and back near the A63 in Hessle, East Yorkshire, at around 06:50 GMT on 1 November.

The 14-year-old boy, whose name cannot be given due to his age, appeared before the judge on Wednesday. He didn’t make any requests.

He will appear in the same court for the next hearing on December 16.
