Pyburn, a Jacksonville native, starred at The Bolles School before deciding to play football for the Gators. During media availability, the teenager detailed his interest in this particular game and what he hopes will happen.

“I can tell you this means a lot to me,” Pyburn said. “There hasn’t been a Georgia/Florida game since I grew up that I didn’t remember going to. I’ve been to every game since I remember what Florida/Georgia was. Growing up in that environment and knowing what that game is really like can make or break some people’s year. You know, it’s a “It’s kind of like the Florida State rivalry, there’s a lot of Georgia fans in North Florida, it’s a heated rivalry that’s really special.”

“I remember watching the state championship team,” Pyburn said. “I knew a lot of people who played against him. He was an absolutely great player then. He’s still a great player now. I respect his game and I’m looking forward to playing against him. Any good point guard has to get them out of where they are and keep them under pressure and “Getting the quarterback to get hit, getting him out of the pocket, moving him so he has to throw harder and not be able to sit down is going to be a big part of our game plan. I’m going to go back out there and just read a book and relax all day.”
