DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV) – The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office says it was alerted to a stolen car at a 7-Eleven Saturday morning.

The sheriff’s office said they reached the area of ​​Castle Pines Parkway and Beverly Boulevard. They found the suspect, a 45-year-old from Colorado Springs.

They detained the driver at a “high risk” stop. The sheriff’s office said they found a gun in the man’s jacket pocket, as well as several different types of drugs in his car.

The man was taken to prison. The sheriff’s office said the man faces charges of motor vehicle theft, drug possession and possession of a weapon by a prior felon.
