Charleston, W.Va. (WSAZ) — A fire broke out at an abandoned house in Charleston early Monday morning, damaging neighboring homes.

The incident occurred at the corner of Madison Street and Russell Street.

First responders said they brought in a crew to demolish the house after some of the flames damaged the exteriors of nearby homes.

First responders said there was no plumbing in the home and they were unsure how the fire started.
