British woman married Pakistani uncle and gave birth to baby to help him enter UK: Report

According to the Daily Mail, a British woman with roots in Pakistan married her Pakistani uncle and had a baby with him. The two are now in danger of being executed by stoning.

The Daily Mail reported that the woman and her uncle were accused of adultery by Pakistani prosecutors. The woman, a former company manager in her thirties, married her mother’s brother during a visit to Pakistan. Adultery, in particular, is considered a serious crime under Sharia law and offenders can be stoned to death.

The man was reportedly arrested a few days ago and is currently in a Pakistani prison, while the woman has returned to the UK.

According to a Pakistani police report, the British woman married her uncle of her own free will and became pregnant with his child to help him enter the UK. But the publication reported that in a now-deleted video on social media, the woman said she was forced to travel to Pakistan and marry the man so she could get “documents” to move to England.

The wedding took place in April 2021, after which the woman moved to her house in a village in Pakistan. She stayed with him for about a month and said his uncle “started having sex” with her and she got pregnant.

The woman claims he abandoned her and her child after she returned to England to have a baby. “He told me that I would help him travel to England and in return he would get a car, a house and a lot of money and our life would be in order,” she said.

“She no longer cares about the baby or me. She has made my life miserable and I need help.”

‘The real criminal’ woman and her uncle

The Daily Mail quoted a police report stating that the villagers warned religious authorities about the marriage and then the uncle confessed to marrying his niece.

According to the village elders, “The point behind this whole incident was to gain entry into the United Kingdom through the British Pakistani (bride).”

The police report included a legal opinion received from the Prosecutor’s Office stating that the woman and her uncle were “the real criminals” and that “the marriage between them was not permissible according to sharia”.

“Establishing a marital relationship on the basis of such a marriage is prohibited and falls under the category of adultery.”
