Man dead after car crash and rollover in Fresno County

CHP Fresno says a 32-year-old man died following a crash in Fresno County early Sunday morning.

According to the CHP, just after 3 a.m. the communications center received a call for a crash with injuries on McKinley Boulevard, just east of Blythe Boulevard.

Officials from CHP and EMS responded.

The CHP’s initial investigation indicates the man was driving an Alfa Romeo eastbound on McKinley just east of Blythe when he allowed the vehicle to swerve off the roadway.

The vehicle hit several brick pillars, wrought iron fences and wire fences, causing the vehicle to overturn.

The driver, who was not wearing his seat belt, was thrown from the vehicle and was seriously injured.

The driver died at the scene of the accident.

CHP says it is unknown whether alcohol or drugs were a factor in this accident.

The investigation continues.
