With more sunshine, winds will be windy or gusty

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — It will be another windy day in Florida due to the increasing pressure difference.

There is a very strong high pressure system to the northeast and a broad low pressure is developing in the Caribbean which allows for these strong winds.

Water conditions will still be unfavorable due to the risk of high currents and the warning for small boats will remain in effect until Sunday evening. These will likely be extended into next week.

This Sunday will be drier than yesterday under mostly sunny skies and winds blowing from the east-northeast at 15-25 mph.

This week will be very busy! As we approach election day on Tuesday, rain chances will increase significantly as we deal with increased tropical humidity due to a low pressure system developing in the Caribbean.

Currently the National Hurricane Center has an 80% chance of this system seeing tropical development within the next 48 hours.

This will likely develop into Rafael as it begins moving northward into the southeastern Gulf of Mexico.

Winds will continue to be strong, especially from Tuesday through Thursday.

The chance of rain from this low pressure will be highest Tuesday through Wednesday, along with tropical showers.

After Wednesday, the chance of rain will decrease further and winds will remain strong.

There’s still a lot of uncertainty about the broad low pressure that will likely be the next storm we name as it drifts into the Gulf.

We will continue to monitor the progress of this system with each update.
