Former GM Pushes Tennessee Titans to Explore QB Trade

Tennessee Titans They’re in a really weird situation right now.

After showing he was a long-term starter as a rookie, Will Levis has done anything but instill confidence with his play in year two.

That has led some to think they should begin searching for a new quarterback ahead of Tuesday’s NFL trade deadline.

A name that has come up a few times, former No. 1 overall pick and current Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young. There are those who believe he can be found at the right price, and the Titans are a team seen as a potential landing spot for him.

Former NFL general manager Rick Spielman now I’m encouraging Tennessee too Considering a trade for Young.

“Isn’t the answer going to be Levis, is it? Mason Rudolph isn’t the answer, is it?” said Spielman. “I would just explore, that’s all I’m saying. I think outside the box.”

Young wasn’t going to be instantly won over to be the franchise’s starting quarterback. He would be brought in to ensure competition between himself and Levis. Two young quarterbacks competing for a starting job would be the perfect scenario to help both players push harder to reach their full potential.

Young, who started his career with the Panthers, has played in 21 games so far and has completed 59.8 percent of his pass attempts for 3,400 yards, 13 touchdowns and 15 interceptions. He also collected 285 yards and a score on the ground.

Frankly, these numbers are not very good. Young is moving toward the “pressure” label, just as Levis did this season.

But it’s too early to make a final decision about Young. It’s too early to say anything definitive about Levis.

At just 23 years old, Young is worth a flyer purchase, assuming his price tag isn’t too high. If he is available and his price makes sense, he should definitely attract interest from the Titans.

All this being said, this is an unlikely scenario. Young probably won’t be traded. But if so, Tennessee would make sense as a potential destination.
