Hogs QB Taylen Green Falls After Big Play, His Return Uncertain

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — After a disastrous series in which the Arkansas offense followed an emotional goal line, clumsily standing next to the defense in its own end zone for Ole Miss’ only touchdown, the game took another dramatic turn.

The Razorbacks were pushing the game with big plays and it looked like they had one more. Quarterback Taylen Green ran up the middle for 14 points to get the Hogs to the Ole Miss 32-yard line.

But Green’s leg folded under him and his ankle twisted awkwardly as he rolled in on himself, and it looks like Malachi Singleton will play point guard for a while. Unfortunately for the Razorbacks, the Hogs attempted a simple pass to Dubinion, who lost five yards after former Arkansas linebacker Chris Paul found the big tackle.

Razorbacks coach Sam Pittman went against his past patterns and opted for a 55-yard field goal, and Matthew Shipley rewarded that belief by creating plenty of space. Green emerged from the medical tent with both wrists tightly taped, but it is not yet known whether he will be able to leave.
