Austin Announces Injury Status in Lakers-Raptors Game

UPDATE: Austin Reaves will return (h/t) Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet).

On Friday evening, the Los Angeles Lakers will face the Toronto Raptors in Canada.

During the game, Austin Reaves was injured and went to the locker room.

Reaves recorded 13 points, one rebound, three assists and one steal in the first 14 minutes, shooting 4/6 from the field and 0/1 from three-point range.

Via Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet: “Austin Reaves sprained his ankle before the last break. He remains on the bench for now, and Russell has entered the game in regular rotation minutes.”

Reaves averaged 16.8 points, 6.0 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.2 steals per game, while shooting 52.5% from the field and 44.8% from three in five games.

The Lakers are ahead 3-2 in their first five games after last losing to Donovan Mitchell and the Cleveland Cavaliers with a score of 134-110.

After Toronto, they play their next game on Monday night, visiting the Detroit Pistons in Michigan.
