The Shenzhou 19 spacecraft was launched from the Gobi Desert in northwestern China.

The spacecraft is taking three taikonauts (the name given to astronauts in China) to the Tiangong space station.

Over the next six months, taikonauts will conduct spacewalks and conduct experiments to gain experience and intelligence to send a person to the Moon by 2030.
