David Gilmour’s new album

On September 6, Gilmour released his fifth studio album, “Luck and Strange”.

The atmospheric, 11-track, hour-long album evokes the best of Pink Floyd – moody guitar riffs, foreboding vocals, haunting lyrics – but still has a distinctly Gilmour-esque sound.

Some of our favorite cuts include the creepy yet uplifting “A Single Spark,” the fun, spiky “Dark and Velvet Nights,” and the soaring title track “Luck and Strange.”

All this being said, if you’re a true Gilmour guy or girl, we highly recommend you listen to the entire album. Every song here is very important.

If you want to give “Luck and Strange” a chance, you can find the record here. Here.

David Gilmour band members

According to the press release, the names that will perform with Gilmour this year are:

Adam Pratt bass and background vocals

Greg Phillinganes keyboards

Rob Gentry keyboards

Adam Betts drum

Ben Worsley guitar

Louise Marshall background vocals

Hattie Webb background vocals

Charlie Webb background vocals

Regarding this band, Gilmour said he mixed things up because “the whole thing was too robotic and some people would have been better off in a band that paid homage to Pink Floyd” and that he wanted to “find really creative people and give them a chance.” There is a little more room.”
