If you plan to vote in person, it’s important to know where you are. your voting district where it is located and, perhaps equally important, what time it opens. It all depends Which state do you live in?and sometimes in your county or municipality.

Most states open local polls at 7 a.m., but some start voting as early as 5 a.m. or as late as 10 a.m.

Some states do not have a uniform statewide start time. Polls are open in New Hampshire, Tennessee and Washington, depending on your county or municipality.

In others, there is a time period within which voting must begin. 7-9 a.m. in North Dakota and 5-10 a.m. in Vermont
