13 Warning Traffic: 2 incidents involving 18-wheelers on I-10 and SH-288, truck on Houston Ave. caused delays, including crashing into a bridge

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — It was a rough start to the roads Friday morning for drivers on two heavily traveled highways.

One incident is a recurring problem in Houston: An 18-wheeler crashed again into the Houston Boulevard overpass bridge at the eastbound I-10 Katy Freeway in Taylor.

The slowdowns increase towards the city centre.

According to Houston Transtar, the crash affects the right shoulder and one right lane.

Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said no vehicles were hit, but delays were expected.

In Brazoria County, SH-288 northbound near CR 57 is closed due to an 18-wheeler blocking all major lanes.

Traffic is being directed to the front road.

A crew from ABC13 is heading to the scene.
