Princess Kate of Wales will attend Remembrance Day events – but doubts over whether Queen Camilla will attend | UK News

It has been announced that the Princess of Wales will attend two Remembrance Day events this weekend.

Buckingham Palace says Kate will attend both ceremonies Remembrance Sunday Ceremony at the Cenotaph and Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall on Saturday.

Officials also said the Queen’s attendance at events would depend on immediate medical advice, as the royal was unwell with a chest infection.

Camilla, 77 years old had to withdraw from engagements earlier this week.

A spokesman said at the time that he “very much” hoped to recover in time for the Remembrance events.

Doctors advised the royal to take a brief rest, but no further details about her condition have been made public.

Announcement comes later Prince William described last year as ‘brutal’ and it was “probably… the hardest year of my life” after his father and wife were diagnosed with cancer.

Last month the Princess of Wales first public appearance Since ending cancer treatment when she joined her husband on a royal visit to Southport.

Kate ‘doing really well’

In a video released in September, Kate said she had finished chemotherapy and was “looking forward to getting back to work and attending a few more public events in the coming months.”

However, the focus is on “I’m doing my best to stay cancer free.“.

The King, who completed his duty recently first long-distance trip abroad Since he was diagnosed with cancer, he will lay a wreath of poppies at the base of the Mausoleum at Sunday’s ceremony.

Dignitaries including Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer and opposition leader Kemi Badenoch are also expected to attend.
