Kidnapped man in China reconnects with family after 34 years, quickly alienated again over money

A man who went through many hardships to reunite with his family 34 years after being kidnapped in China has revealed that he had a tragic separation from them a year later.

37-year-old Yu Baobao said on his social media account, which has 326 thousand followers, that he broke off ties with his birth family because of money.

Yu lived under the name Li Qiang for 34 years until he found his birth family and discovered his real name in September last year.

At the age of two, she was abducted from her grandparents’ home in southwestern China’s Sichuan province.
