Vance’s trajectory reveals what role he will play in Trump’s second administration

Sources in Vice President-elect J.D. Vance’s political orbit say his role in this. Donald Trump’s The upcoming management is simple.

According to Fox News, the president-elect will do whatever Vance needs him to do and be wherever Trump needs a second perspective and focus.

Vance, first-term senator The Ohio native, who quickly became a leading advocate of Trump’s “America First” policies in the Senate, was named by the former president as the GOP’s vice presidential nominee on the first day of the Republican National Convention in July.

The senator worked tirelessly on the campaign trail throughout the rest of the summer and fall, pushing for the Republican candidate and aiming for his goal. Vice President Kamala Harris; his running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz; and President Biden’s administration.

With Trump and Vance’s convincing election victory this week, which included a sweep of key battleground states and a popular vote victory, the transition between the Biden and second Trump administrations is well underway. And the vice president-elect will have an honorary role in the transition process.

Sources pointed out some of the issues that the vice president-elect wants to be involved in over the next four years and that is personally important to him. These include immigration, technology policy, and, as a Marine who served in the war in Iraq, veterans policies. Sources also shared that Vance’s experience with the train disaster in East Palestine, Ohio, also made disaster relief an important issue for him.

While no names have been floated for senior positions in the new vice president’s office, looking at who currently serves the senator may offer clues.

Jacob Reses serves as Vance’s Senate chief of staff, and James Braid serves as deputy chief of staff in the senator’s office.

And possibly top outside advisers like Andy Surabian, a leading political adviser to Donald Trump Jr.; Luke Thompson, who runs the super PAC supporting Vance’s 2022 Senate campaign, Jai Chabria, a longtime Ohio-based consultant; and informal advisor Arthur Schwartz will continue to serve in similar roles to Vance.
