Stow man calls 911 and admits to fatally stabbing woman

SUMMIT COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO) – A man called 911 Wednesday evening to report that he stabbed a family member following an argument. A second person inside the home also called 911, Stow police said.

When Stow police arrived at the home in the 4000 block of Baird Rd. At around 22.30 in the evening, a 32-year-old woman was found with multiple stab wounds.

Stow police said the victim, whose name has not been released at this time, was pronounced dead at the scene.

John Lorkowski, 46, was taken into custody without incident and transported to Akron General Hospital in Stow to receive treatment for cuts to his hands, Stow police said.

After being released from the hospital, police said Lorkowski would be charged with murder and transported to the Summit County Jail.

Agents with the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) are assisting Stow police.
