“I think Fiji will do well after the presidency. I mean this in the sense of the level of interest that the entire global community has in the Pacific right now, geopolitical inputs. And Fiji, as the center of gravity, the center of this part of the world, will continue to attract the attention of the global community and America, a global power.”

Gavoka also praised Trump’s political resilience, calling him: “an inspiration” to leaders around the world.

He praised Trump’s determination to return to the White House, noting that his return demonstrated a determination appreciated by global leaders.

Gavoka adds that Fiji will work to leverage its strategic position to further strengthen its status as a key player in the Pacific through increased cooperation and strengthening ties with the United States.
