Duluth Police Department swears in 11 new officers

The Duluth Police Department, along with friends and family, gathered at Clyde Ironworks on Wednesday, November 6, to welcome and swear in eleven new officers.

The ceremony also celebrated the promotion of two officers to Sergeant.

The new recruiting eleven includes Ryan McFadden, Max Peterson, Alex Pinnel, Bryton Lutzka and Saul.
Jeanetta, Jonathan Laughlin, Michael Joki, James Jorde, Braden Holty, Kyle McMullen and Andrew
Schamberger.

Both Jim Forsyth and Nate Hughes were promoted to the rank of Sergeant.

“It’s one of our favorite days of the year. We celebrate not only our new hires, but also those who have been promoted within our organization,” said Duluth Police Chief Mike Ceynowa. “This is a way to share with our community the hard work it takes to become a Duluth police officer.”

Recruits were sworn in by Duluth Mayor Rodger Reinert.
