Polls are closed in Kansas.

In addition to the Harris-Trump presidential race, you can also see results from races of interest to those in the Wichita area and Sedgwick County. You’ll also find results for specific races in the Kansas Legislature (both House and Senate) as well as U.S. congressional District 4 between Ron Estes and Esau Freeman versus the state Board of Education.

US House District 4

Kansas’ 4th Congressional District Includes Wichita, Newton, Pratt and areas south of the Oklahoma border.

Republican incumbent Ron Estes is running for re-election and Esau Freeman is also running as a Democrat. Both were unopposed in their primaries.

U.S. representatives serve two-year terms.

Kansas State House Results:

State representatives are lawmakers responsible for drafting and voting on legislation. They also help create legislation to help establish the state budget and regulate government institutions. There are 125 state representatives in the Kansas House, each serving a two-year term.

Kansas State Senate Results:

South-central Kansas residents will have a say in the District 14, District 16, District 25, District 26, District 27, District 28, District 29, District 30, District 31, District 32 and District 34 races. Kansas state senators serve four-year terms.

Kansas Board of Education

The State Board of Education has 10 members elected to four-year terms. The board oversees public schools and represents the educational interests of the state. The Wichita area is served by state board of education members from Districts 8 and 10.

Sedgwick County Commission

Jeff Blubaugh is challenging Sarah Lopez for the District 2 seat representing southwestern Sedgwick County, including parts of Wichita. Stephanie Wise and Celeste Racette are running for an open seat in District 3, which includes western Wichita and western Sedgwick County.

Commissioner David Dennis has decided not to run for re-election.
