Brighton man arrested for stabbing victim ‘multiple’ times, police say

A 43-year-old Brighton man has been arrested in connection with this incident Stabbed and seriously injured a man on Monday nightWednesday, police said.

Police said Hans Pierre was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (knife).

At approximately 10:02 p.m. Monday, officers responded to a radio call for a person stabbed at the intersection of Commonwealth Boulevard and Warren Street in Brighton.

Police said when officers arrived at the scene, they found a 36-year-old man with multiple stab wounds being treated at the scene by paramedics.

Police said the victim was taken by ambulance to a local hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. His condition was unknown Wednesday.

Detectives later identified the stabbing suspect and around 6.30pm on Tuesday, police arrested Pierre outside his home in Brighton.

Pierre is expected to be arraigned in Brighton District Court.
