Rafiqul Islam Madani, popularly known as “Shishu Bokta”, was acquitted in four cases filed under the Digital Security Act in four separate police stations in Dhaka.

Chief Public Prosecutor Md Rafiqul Islam said Dhaka Cyber ​​Court Judge Nur-e Alam accepted the request for an Islamic preacher and passed the decision today (November 6).

Earlier, Rafiqul’s lawyer Shohel Md Fazle Rabbi had filed applications seeking his client’s release from the charges.

Lawyer Fazle Rabbi said the court cleared him of the charges in these four cases after reviewing all the facts and documents.

On April 8, 2021, the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested Rafiqul Islam from his residence in Netrokona and registered a case under the Digital Security Act at Gazipur’s Gacha Police Station.

Later, three more DSA cases were filed against him at three different police stations.
