The Higher Education Research Equipment Grant will allow universities to not only upgrade their research equipment, but also purchase new or additional research equipment.

“The Devolved Capital Grant will allow universities to invest in minor capital works programmes, refurbishment and refurbishment of equipment, ensuring their facilities remain up to date, fit for purpose and respond to climate targets.”

Ciarán McCaffrey, HEA Head of Capital Programmes, added: “We welcome the announcement of €80 million in capital funding for the higher education sector, which will continue to support Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in addressing infrastructure improvements and providing critical research equipment.
